Why Do Emails Land in Spam?
Receiving servers filter every message with three questions: did you really send it, is the signature valid, and is your record clean?
Missing authentication
Without SPF, DKIM or DMARC, the receiving server can’t prove the sender is you. Unproven mail goes to spam at best. Gmail and Yahoo have effectively required these records since 2024.
Bad IP reputation
On shared hosting, a spamming neighbor on the same IP can get you blacklisted. Mail from a listed IP is rejected outright by most servers.
Technical inconsistencies
An IP without PTR, multiple SPF records, DKIM on the wrong selector — each is a "careless sender" signal that raises your spam score.
Content and behavior
Even with solid infrastructure, clickbait subjects, single-big-image emails and bulk-sending habits trigger filters. Infrastructure first, then content.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this test send email or connect to my server?+
No. The test is fully passive: it only reads your public DNS records. We send no mail, open no SMTP connections and touch no server.
What’s the difference between SPF, DKIM and DMARC?+
SPF is the list of servers allowed to send as you; DKIM is a cryptographic signature added to each message; DMARC is the policy telling receivers what to do when both fail (monitor/quarantine/reject). Together they form complete protection.
DKIM says "not found" but my provider says it’s set up.+
DKIM records are published under a prefix called a "selector", and we can only try common ones. If your provider uses a custom selector your record may well exist — verify in your provider’s panel.
I’m blacklisted — what should I do?+
Find the cause first: a compromised mailbox, an unprotected contact form or an infected site are the usual sources. After closing the leak, request delisting on the list’s website (Spamhaus, SpamCop etc.). It won’t stick until the cause is fixed.
My score is high but mail still lands in spam.+
This test measures infrastructure; content, sending frequency and list quality also drive filters. With a solid base, avoid spammy wording, balance image and text, and stop mailing people who didn’t ask.
